VP of Product & Engineering

Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, NetherlandsProduct

Job description

Be at the forefront of AI innovation and help launch work-defining technology.

What do we do
The world of work has changed. Hybrid and remote work has been adopted with unprecedented speed because of the many benefits it offers. But meeting overload, mental fatigue, and burnouts are at an all-time high. This paradox led to the creation of Carv.com - a work-defining meeting intelligence platform designed to make people spend less time in meetings, and give them valuable time back to pursue things that matter.

We’ve been developing Carv in stealth mode for the past year and we've just launched our BETA version of the platform. We follow a product-led growth methodology that relies heavily on customer-centricity, scalability, and user adoption - and this is where we need your help to grow even further!

The Team

Carv.com is founded by an experienced team that has previously built and exited a disruptive work-technology company. After the founders saw firsthand how the move to remote work changed the dynamic within their organization, the initial idea for Carv was born.

You will be joining a dynamic and collaborative team of professionals with diverse backgrounds and expertise who are passionate about building a product soon to be used by millions of users. The culture is one of innovation, continuous learning, and with a focus on delivering value to future customers and driving growth for the business.

What do we look for

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on product leader who is excited to work with AI, has a deep understanding of product-led growth, can talk Tech, and can build a bridge between all departments. As the VP of Product & Engineering, you will be responsible for owning and driving the product roadmap, making sure all engineering challenges are being taken care of, ensuring our product exceeds customer expectations, and driving growth for the company.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of our product roadmap, from ideation to beta launch and beyond
  • Manage the bigger picture, setting goals and priorities to get there, and providing technical guidance and mentorship
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, and future customer success, to ensure success
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize the development of features based on customer feedback and market trends
  • Establish and maintain product best practices, including agile development methodologies and effective project management processes
  • Monitor key product metrics, using data-driven insights to inform product decisions and drive continuous improvement

What we offer
We offer you the excitement of building a new company, from scratch. The Carv.com Management team has 15+ years of experience steering a technology / SaaS company to become a global market leader. So, if you want to be part of a start-up but don't want to start in an attic, this is your chance.

And, of course, a generous salary, a stock option plan, unlimited time off, etc. are waiting for you.

Job requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in product management with a track record of successfully delivering high-quality products;
  • Experience with product-led growth and an understanding of how to leverage data and analytics to drive growth;
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and manage a team while still being hands-on;
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams;
  • Passion for building products that solve customer needs and drive business outcomes;
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making;
  • Experience in the SaaS industry and a strong understanding of customer behavior and market trends.

If you are as excited as us about building a product that will revolutionize the way teams conduct meetings, we would love to hear from you.
